| What: | Puget Sound Energy is inviting the community to a celebration and open house on Tuesday, Oct. 27, in honor of the one year anniversary of its South Whidbey Island Customer Service Office in Freeland. Customers will enjoy refreshments and receive complimentary giveaways while hearing from PSE Energy Advisors about how to increase energy efficiency and save money. There will also be a chance to win a gift basket. |

| Background: | PSE opened its Freeland office in October 2008 to serve South Whidbey Island and complement PSE’s other Whidbey office, which has been operating in Oak Harbor since 1989. Managed by Whidbey resident, Walt Blackford, PSE’s South Whidbey office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and promotes energy efficiency in addition to providing traditional customer service and bill payment capabilities. In addition to Blackford, the office houses a full-time customer service representative and rotating regional staff. |
