Puget Sound Energy's (PSE) Snoqualmie Falls Hydroelectric Project is located about 25 miles east of Seattle on the Cascade Mountains' western slope. The project consists of a small diversion apparatus just upstream from Snoqualmie Falls, and two powerhouses having a combined generating capacity of 44 megawatts. PSE is planning upgrades to enhance recreational and scenic opportunities, limit risks for upstream flooding and improve fish and wildlife habitat.
